Hockey Equipment Rules To Follow
There a few things every hockey player should know about their hockey gear. Most players seem to think that their hockey equipment won’t take them anywhere and that their skills will. While their hockey skills will be what establishes them in the overall aspect of them playing, their equipment should enhance their abilities even further. There are a couple of good hockey gear rules to follow. Write these down, they may help you.
Rule number 1 is that your helmet should be one piece and light. Carbon fiber hockey helmets tend to be the best. Most of these are made in an aerodynamic way. Not only will you be the most protected, but your speed won’t suffer as much. Remember, hockey helmets are a player’s best friend.
Rule number 2 is to make sure your skates wheels and bearings are always kept up. It doesn’t matter if you have latest inline skates from reebok hockey. They need to have good up keep. Make sure you lubricate the bearings. You also need to rotate your wheels, they will last longer if you do. Its no use having hockey wheels on your skates if they are ripped.
Rule number 3 is to make sure your hockey stick blade is not worn down. Butter blades are the worst tool for a hockey player. The ball and pucks tend to jump or hop over the blade. It makes it harder to accept passes and you will most likely fan on your shots if your blade is too thin. Hockey blades should be changed when these issues start to show their face.
Rule number 4 is a generic rule. It’s not geared towards anything special. Think overall. You should keep checking the rest of your hockey equipment after every game. Things get scratched, ripped and smashed all too fast in this sport. If your hockey equipment is good, then you will be too.
